Launch Party

Tuesday 30th April at Ochre in The National Gallery for our 1in10 Dyslexia launch event.

We successfully launch our petition and raised funds to pilot in schools across the UK.

Charlotte is our chair and founder and is an advocate for driving change and championing equal opportunities for all children in school.
Catherine Antalek at 7.40pm

Catherine Antalek is a Lecturer in Psychology at the Department of Psychology and Human Development at UCL’s Institute of Education where she leads modules on the MA in Specific Learning Difficulties Dyslexia and MA Special and Inclusive Education Specific Learning Difficulties route programmes. Catherine was awarded a Ph.D. in Cognitive Neuroscience. Her research interests include the cognitive processes of reading and writing development for typically developing, dyslexic, and bilingual readers. Most recently, Catherine has been working as a Research Fellow, exploring current provision around exam accommodations for students with a Specific Learning Difficulty, and the efficacy of such accommodation.

Sarah Templeton at 7.50pm

Sarah Templeton is an Author, Psychotherapist, Coach and an ADHD Screening in schools and prisons campaigner.Sarah is on the APPG for ADHD at the Houses of Parliament and has vowed to be the voice for the tens of thousands of young offenders and adult offenders with undiagnosed ADHD – who cannot get their voice heard within the prison system. Yet without the correct ADHD diagnosis and medication their life is destined to be one spent persistently in and out of prison.

Sarah campaigns the government to change this situation by assessing all offenders for ADHD. Especially young offenders. 

Marie Gentles at 8.00pm 

Marie Gentles OBE is one of the UK's leading child behavioural experts. A former head teacher at a pupil referral unit she is a behaviour adviser to the Department for Education, an educational consultant, and parent. Founder of Magic Behaviour Management, she trains schools and family services in her bespoke method to set up positive foundations and practical ways to support children through disruptive times. Marie is the behavioural expert on BBC's Don't Exclude Me series.
